Are you editor material?

The Korat Post is seeking an individual, a Thai national, hopefully with a native English background or with ready access to someone who has, to produce website and hardcopy content on a regular basis.

Acting as editor of northeast Thailand's first English language newspaper, the editor will perform various tasts relating to the newspaper production, including but not limited to:

Reporting and translating from Thai to English
Producing copy
Design and layout
Photography
Distribution
Financial arrangements, including bookkeeping
Bill issuing and collection
Advertising copy layout assistance

Skills required

Native English and fluent Thai (abillity to read and fluently speak both, as well as native English writing)
Translation ability
Photography skills - digital
PageMaker, PhotoShop, MS Office, PowerPoint
Ability to work with Thai nationals and foreigners
Ability to sell advertising
Interest in the news and the people making it
Some knowledge and experience in northeast Thailand and Korat
